Created to delight the heart of someone who always wanted to draw. This is mindful, sort of directed doodling. It's so much fun. And I actually made one I like during my first explore.
First, creating a signature:
Start learning patterns:
And the one I like is the second one I made:
I'm not using the best pens and pencils that I actually already own. (Micro-Line or Microns are recommended as well as a graphic sketching pencils for shading.)
I'm not even using the recommended paper.
Tomorrow I'll get out my Micro-Line pens and my Derwent pencils. Tonight I'm playing like a kid...and loving every minute.
Click here for more Zentangle info. I have a friend that gave me a card she made using the technique. It was amazing.
I hope you're having fun, too.
This is intriguing! I never realised that there were patterns to use/ inspire. My fave bit is your signature tho...and the heavy zigzags give me migraine twinges [from zentangles in general, not yours]. I hope you used your good pens, why not![I was taught to draw, from early childhow, so doodling and coloring books too are hard for me.] More?
